We are Deanne & Kristen, 2 Italian sisters. Welcome to Sorelle Cucina© , meaning “sisters kitchen” in Italian.

Deanne spent 20 years working in Corporate America as a sales and marketing executive. She realized her true passion was in the kitchen creating, cooking & entertaining small to large crowds. Since 2015, Deanne has been the creator, author, recipe developer & food photographer for “Dee’s in the Kitchen” food blog. Since then, Deanne has become a contributing food editor for “Best Recipes Magazine” and was discovered by Huffington Post for her food photography.

Kristen has a background in design as well as 15 years in the food & restaurant industry. After raising her boys for the past 18 years, Kristen realized her desire to return to the work field where she could utilize her expertise and creativity. Kristen found her creative side in interior design as well as in the kitchen while catering intimate parties to larger gatherings.

For years, we have loved creating recipes, cooking & entertaining for family & friends. We both enjoy eating real, quality, fresh foods. Our passion of owning a food business together came from our love of good food and our desire to share it with others. We come from a very creative family of fine artists & accomplished musicians & even a few chefs who have all provided much inspiration & encouragement. Food has always played an important role in our family. We have fond memories of our grandparents hosting traditional 5 course Italian dinners.

At Sorelle Cucina©, we specialize in making homemade, modern Italian dishes such as dips, tapenades, pestos, lasagnas, casseroles and even breakfast items. Our goal is to incorporate fresh & local Italian ingredients into all of our recipes.

As our Italian grandparents always said, “Mangia”!
