Phyllodelphia Greek and Mediterranean Food Truck is the inspiration of Greg and Terry Daglis. The family recipe for Spanakopita (Spinach and Cheese Filled Phyllo Triangles) has been passed down for generations. Yiayia’s (grandmother in Greek) Spanakopita is highly regarded within the Greek community of southern New Jersey, as one of the best phyllo dishes. This recipe was the inspiration to start their own business and to create other recipes of innovative flavor combinations.
Entrepreneur Works Taste of Success
In March of 2016, they entered the Entrepreneur Works Taste of Success, and were awarded Chef’s Choice Runner-up for their Sausage and Cheese Filled Phyllo Triangles. Their theme surrounds utilizing phyllo dough, the rich and buttery Greek pastry dough filled with a variety of food items (Spinach/Cheese, Buffalo Chicken, Sausage, and Chocolate). They are unique to the Philadelphia region to serve phyllo dough in this manner.
In addition, they serve traditional Greek and Mediterranean foods such as Lollipop Lamb Chops, Pastitsio (Greek lasagna), Souvlaki (Grilled Lamb Skewer served on pita bread with Tzatziki sauce), Stuffed Sweet Peppers, Gazpacho, Greek Salad, and desserts of Loukoumades (Greek style donut holes drizzled with honey or Chocolate) and Baklava. Phyllodelphia serves the greater Philadelphia tri-state area with their commercial kitchen base at the Artisan Exchange in West Chester, PA.
