Wynnorr Farm is one of the last working farms in Westtown Township. The farm has been owned and operated by the Stratton family since 1924. Currently the 3rd, 4th, and 5th generations of Strattons are living and working on Wynnorr Farm. Our mission is to keep our farm land in Production Agriculture while educating the public about the science and business of farming.
Our farm was known for many years as one of the best places in Chester County to buy fresh sweet corn and other seasonal produce. We now offer fresh local produce at the Artisan Market every Saturday from 10-2.
We hope that you and your family will join us and experience the beauty of the countryside in Chester County. When you visit our farm you can view our 19th century Bank Barn, and our flock of Dorset sheep. You may also see many different kinds of wildlife including several kinds of hawks, white-tailed deer and red foxes.
Joe grew up at Wynnorr Farm and learned the business from his parents John and Katherine Stratton. Joe earned a B.S. from Penn State in Agricultural Mechanization and later an MBA from Penn State Great Valley. He worked several companies involved in providing financing to farmers for nearly 30 years. Laura has a B.S. in Animal Production, also from Penn State, and managed the Wynnorr Farm produce market for many years.
